Founded in 1978, Cinch Home Services is one of the oldest players in the home warranty market. It offers three plans: one for built-in systems, another for a range of appliances, and a combination plan for systems and appliances. Cinch’s Complete Home (or Combo Plan) is one of the most comprehensive we have seen. Instead of charging you for countless add-ons, Cinch covers all your systems as part of an all-in-one plan without charging for countless add-ons. In addition to normal wear and tear, Cinch covers rust and corrosion damage as well as unknown pre-existing conditions.

Cinch Home Services offers one of the strongest plans for built-in systems we’ve seen, incorporating items like water dispensers, whirlpools, and sump pump that other providers typically offer as expensive add-ons. Most of these systems are covered for up to $2,000 per item. The appliances plan is good value too, covering 12 items including common kitchen and laundry appliances. But the master plan is the Complete Home Plan which covers a majority of all items in your home making it their most popular and comprehensive plan.
As with any provider, read your Cinch Home Services contract carefully for a full list of caps and exclusions.
Cinch Home Services offers a choice of three plans: Built-in Systems, Appliances, or Complete Home. All plans come with a $25 credit for your air conditioner or water filter which you can claim after your first payment. The Complete Home plan allows you to claim a reimbursement of up to $500 when you have to pay a deductible on a covered homeowners insurance claim. The reimbursement can be claimed once per year.

Prices for Cinch Home Services’ plans vary from location to location. We checked prices at zip codes in eight locations around the country (Seattle, San Diego, Dallas, Denver, St Louis, Charlotte, New York City, Boston). While most of the locations were priced at or close to the advertised starting price, some did vary from than the advertised price. For example, the Boston zip code was quoted more than the advertised price (e.g. $84.99/month for Complete Home when choosing a $150 deductible).
New customers also enjoy a promo offer.
Cinch’s starting prices are similar to other providers, and their plans are more comprehensive so there’s no need to pay for add-ons. Cinch also lets you choose from three deductibles: $100, or $150. The higher your deductible, the cheaper your plan.

Cinch Home Services only provides coverage for work performed by an authorized in-network contractor. The good news is that Cinch has a network of thousands of pre-screened service pros nationwide, so there’s a good chance of finding one near you.
You can request service 24/7 from the Cinch digital dashboard (which has been optimized for mobile). You can also call Cinch any time if you’d prefer to speak to a customer service representative. As mentioned, each service is charged a deductible, no matter the purpose of your visit. Each repair or replacement comes with an 180-day workmanship guarantee for parts and labor, one of the longest guarantees in the industry.
Cinch’s 3.8-star Trustpilot rating is testament to its mixed reputation among customers. While it can be said that a majority of Cinch’s customer reviews are positive, a sizable minority of customers have left negative feedback about slow claims processing or not being reimbursed for claims.

Here are a few selected positive reviews from Trustpilot:
Shortly after we moved into our house we had an air conditioning problem. We called to place the claim and our unit needed replacement parts. We thought it would take a few days to fix it. The people Cinch sent out were wonderful. They found the parts and came back out and fixed it that same day. Wonderful people and we were so grateful! Thanks so much!

The Cinch representative I spoke to today was very professional. He listened to me, let me explain my dilemma and put in a ticket request for resolution. Even if the issue doesn’t get resolved how I want it to, I am thankful for the empathy.

The lady I talked to was delightful and answered all my questions. She went over all the information which helped me decide which plan was best for me! Kudos to her.

Cinch Home Services provides something that’s surprisingly rare in the home warranty market: a comprehensive, all-in-one plan. Rather than offer the basics and give you the option of adding on systems and appliances, Cinch gives you everything in the one package. If you have a large home with lots of systems and appliances, then the Cinch Home Services Complete Home plan is a good option.
